About the photographer -
Duane Lowe is a nature photographer who resides on the shore of Damariscotta Lake with his wife Dorothy and their two Shelties. A Maine native, Duane spent a great deal of time in the woods of Western Maine during childhood and developed a love of nature and fascination with birds. After living and working in Indiana for many years, returning to the Maine coast in 2006 has inspired a renewed interest in the diversity of the wildlife and landscape just outside the door. Duane has a passion for photographing birds and animals in their natural environment in a manner that does not disturb their life or interfere with the behavior being photographed. In addition, travel to far away locations to capture a bit of the uniqueness is a special interest.
Duane’s photography has been published in local chamber of commerce guides, newspapers and calendars in addition to being used on websites. One of his loon images was chosen as the award photograph and sponsor thank you gift for the 2015 Maine Marathon which raises funds for a variety of children’s charities. His work has also been used by Kieve-Wavus Education and other non-profits. He has also had work juried into the prestigious Maine Photography Show and multiple shows at River Arts Gallery. His work also is displayed in many private homes throughout the country.

Rebecca E. Clark, LMFT achieved full status in December 2018 as an EFT Clinical Supervisor for clinicians learning the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) model. Developed by Dr. Sue Johnson and grounded in attachment theory, EFT is a systematic approach that aims to reduce relationship distress and help couples and families create trust and intimacy. We all have a fundamental need to feel valued, understood, and loved by our partner. Research shows that ALL couples get disconnected at times, and that there is a reliable roadmap for reconnection. As they work towards a more secure bond, couples learned how to identify and change the negative cycles that get in the way of intimacy, make sense of emotions, and restore trust and safety in their relationship. Rebecca enjoys helping therapist grow in the skills of this evidence-based EFT model so that more couples can benefit from this meaningful process. Rebecca is the first therapist in Maine to achieve this certification.
