Administration & Reception

Sandy

Practice Manager

After Sandy studied accounting at West Texas State University, she began overseas volunteer work. Living and working in Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Chile and the Philippines, Sandy and her husband Shane directed a non-profit organization, conducting community development projects in remote villages and helping medical teams with relief work.

In 2004, Sandy came alongside the owners of Lifespan to help open the practice. She continues to enjoy using her administrative skills and healthcare background to serve the staff and patients of this growing medical home. Her interests include reading, hiking, and exploring Maine with her husband. Their daughter Jamie earned her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2022 and works as a Substance Use Prevention Coordinator with Penobscot Bay Community Health Partnerships and writes for Journey Magazine.

Maddie

Receptionist

Born and raised in central Maine, Maddie has previous experience in a pediatric Occupational and Speech Therapy clinic. Maddie enjoys traveling, live music, kayaking and the ocean. Although she was not raised here, her heart belongs to the Midcoast region and hopes to move into the communities she has served for over a decade. She looks forward to meeting you and assisting you with your healthcare needs.

Mary Lou

Referrals, Medical Records and Part-time Receptionist

Born and raised in a small town in Midcoast Maine, Mary Lou has years of experience in both the business side and patient side of healthcare.  After working remotely for the past three years, she is very happy to return to meeting patients and helping them with their referral and medical records needs.

She enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and gardening, and an occasional trip to warmer temperatures in the winter.
