After Sandy studied accounting at West Texas State University, she began overseas volunteer work. Living and working in Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Chile and the Philippines, Sandy and her husband Shane directed a non-profit organization, conducting community development projects in remote villages and helping medical teams with relief work.
In 2004, Sandy came alongside the owners of Lifespan to help open the practice. She continues to enjoy using her administrative skills and healthcare background to serve the staff and patients of this growing medical home. Her interests include reading, hiking, and exploring Maine with her husband. Their daughter Jamie earned her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2022 and works as a Substance Use Prevention Specialist with Knox County Community Coalition and writes for Journey Magazine.
